To achieve and maintain ‘functional zero’ for at least one population group (chronic, veterans, adults with children, youth, etc.) per county/area where the Adventist Church is present in the Northern California Conference territory by 2032.

Homelessness is more than the absence of housing. It often involves trauma, isolation, loss of community, and barriers to stability.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to see the person before the problem.

The Northern California Conference (91´óÉñ) Ending Homelessness Initiative exists to equip churches to become part of long-term, community-based solutions that restore dignity, build relationships, and offer hope.

A Conference-Wide Initiative of the Northern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

In addition to participating in a task force or developing an affordable housing project, All For One invites each church to intentionally walk alongside one individual or one family at a time. By creating a spiritual community fosters a sense of belonging.

Working alongside local agencies and community organizations, churches provide friendship, encouragement, practical assistance, and spiritual support while connecting individuals with the professional services they need to achieve long-term stability.

Build a Support Team
Form teams of members to provide consistent, long-term support, including mentorship, assistance with finding housing, job training, counseling, and covering daily needs.

Partner with Community Experts
Rather than creating a ministry from scratch, partner with local, established homeless agencies to provide meals, funding, or volunteer services.

Provide Essential Resources
Create and distribute care packages containing socks, underwear, hygiene products, and non-perishable food.

Focus on Housing Solutions
Support or fund transitional housing or assist with the costs of renting.

Create a Welcoming Community
Encourage attendance at services and social events to help individuals reintegrate into society and feel part of a spiritual community.

Address Specific Needs
Offer assistance with obtaining identification documents, medical needs, and transportation to appointments.

Established Conference Leadership
Created the 91´óÉñ Council on Homelessness to provide conference-wide vision, strategic leadership, and collaboration for addressing homelessness throughout Northern California.

Built Community Partnerships
Developed relationships with local Continuums of Care (CoCs), nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, housing agencies, and government partners to strengthen coordinated, community-based solutions.

Organized Local Task Forces
Launched Ending Homelessness Task Forces (EHTs) to bring churches and community partners together around shared goals, local initiatives, and collaborative ministry.

Equipped Churches for Ministry
Developed workshops, educational resources, and practical tools to help congregations engage in compassionate, relational ministry that supports long-term stability rather than short-term assistance alone.

Supported Housing & Community Projects
Partnered with churches and community organizations to support housing initiatives, community development projects, and programs that address employment, transportation, healthcare, and other barriers to stability.

Launched All For One
Introduced All For One, inviting every congregation to intentionally walk alongside one individual or family experiencing homelessness through friendship, mentorship, practical assistance, and spiritual encouragement.
